EKOSKOLA 2023/24 - Green packa...
Through this project, we seek to reduce single use of different materials such as paper, plastic etc. Children will be encouraged to reuse different materials to decrease waste and thus reduce the negative effect that this waste, especially plastic, has on our environment. Pupils will become more aware of the importance of reusing certain materials and through their example, they will teach adults to do likewise. This project will make the children aware of the large amount of waste being generated in our community and will learn how to reduce/reuse and recycle. They will pass this knowledge to local people and make them aware about the importance of shopping wisely and to make informed choices for a more sustainable future. The older students will learn and understand how overpopulation can affect ecological degradation and how plastic is a non-renewable resource.
The aim of this task is to educate students about responsible consumption habits and empower them to make eco-conscious choices when purchasing goods and products. It will help to foster a sense of responsibility among students by creating a sustainable herb garden using recycled materials. Through a study, students will also be able to understand the impact of overdevelopment on a specific location and how this effects the quality of life of the residents. The students will then generate ideas for a positive change.
