Our year 3 pupils will today take part in an activity at Lunzjata valley where they will witness the arrival of the Peace Flame. This ceremony will commemorate the inauguration of the 50th Anniversary Year from Malta’s joining UNESCO’s Associated Schools Project Network and will include the unveiling of the ASPnet 50th Anniversary Logo Peace Pledge by the schools as well as the letting off of some white doves from the church roof and the symbolic planting of olive trees in the Valley of Peace. The international Sri Chimnoy Oneness-Home Peace Choir will be singing an arrangement of peace songs. Courtney Attard and Joseph Mizzi, two of our Year 3 students, will be reading a short story by Pedro Pablo Sacristan entitled ‘The Sword of Peace’.
